The Olympics
By: Cy & Kieayra
Hi! Today we are going to tell you how we earned the Olympics. First off how we earned the Olympics was we had a reading challenge and we had to read a certain amount of minutes to get the Olympics. We were all excited when we found out that we beat the reading challenge and we got to have the Olympics.
Now we are going to talk about the activities. The first one we are going to talk about is the bobsled. We used scooters that you sit on and there’s someone in the front then the second person sits behind and holds on to the first person then there is a pusher. The two teams then race.
The next activity we’re going to talk about is the biathlon. You got a piece of carpet (skis) and you go throughout the gym. You had to throw a ball into a net and race back to the start line.
The next activity was the skeleton. We had to lay on a scooter and have a relay race. The last activity we are going to talk about is the speed skating. On that activity, you have to put your feet on a piece of carpet (skate) and race people around in a circle.
We would like to say a special thanks to Mrs. Dutton and Mr. Erickson for helping set everything up and for the great idea they had!
