Drama Day

Fifth grade went to the Waverly High School today to watch two plays. The first play was a mix of a lot of fairytales. It was called Sleeping Beauty and the Beast. It was really funny. They had a lot of creative ideas. The play was actually directed by two students. The next play was about how narrators are good to the story. This was a really funny play. Another student wrote that play and directed it. It was about a guy who can take people on stage that were in the audience and make them live there forever.
After the plays got over we all got stickers, and on those stickers was a color, orange or pink. They decided what rotation we went to first. One rotation was stage makeup. They handed out a paper with a face on it and then they picked someone to put makeup on. They made Rylan and Dawson look old! The other rotation was one about acting and singing. They had a professional actor to talk to us. He told us about life on a stage. He also talked about all the different kinds of plays. Then he sang to us. He was good! He was a tenor and that means he has a higher voice. Drama Day was very interesting and great!
